Finpartner is committed to respecting privacy and safeguarding the personal data of all customers and users of the services provided. How data is handled, with whom it is shared, and the duration it is retained, reflects who Finpartner is and how it operates in accordance with its values.

FINPARTNER is responsible for the collection and processing of customer personal data, in accordance with Article 4(7) of the GDPR, and it is responsible for deciding, in the context of providing services to the customer, which personal data is collected, the means of processing the data, and the purposes for which it is used.

The personal data collected by FINPARTNER in the conclusion and execution of the contract is intended for the administrative management of customers, billing and collection of services, marketing of company products or group companies. The use of customer’s personal data for other purposes always requires the prior and express consent of the customer.

FINPARTNER only collects and processes customer personal data with their explicit consent, in accordance with each specific purpose of the relevant processing, as provided for in the Personal Data Protection Law. Customers can freely withdraw their consent at any time.
However, there are personal data that are essential for the provision of services by FINPARTNER (mandatory data), and customers are duly informed of this necessity and the consequences of not providing such data. If the personal data deemed essential are not provided by customers or are found to be insufficient, incorrect, or outdated, FINPARTNER will be unable to provide the subscribed service(s), and customers will assume full and exclusive responsibility for the insufficiency or inaccuracy of the data provided.

FINPARTNER may collect and obtain your personal data during our provision of services to customers, for validation in the scope of our services (or discussion of potential services we can provide), as well as when you use this website.
We process personal data because they are provided directly by the customer (e.g., in a form on our website) or by other individuals (e.g., your employer, consultant, or suppliers) or because they are publicly available.
The types of personal and/or special data processed may vary depending on the nature of the services provided to customers, their interaction with FINPARTNER, or how they use our website. In some circumstances, we may also process other personal data because they are provided by you or because we are legally required to do so.

The data to be processed includes the data provided by the User through the Finpartner website, as well as any data provided directly by the User. The data will be used exclusively for the purpose of contacting the User regarding legal or commercial information, legal updates, information about Finpartner and events promoted by Finpartner, and other promotional contacts allowed by the Statute of the Order of Accountants. In the case of Curriculum Vitae, the data will be processed exclusively for recruitment and selection purposes, compliance with legal compliance obligations, billing, and accounting management.
All data collected by Finpartner in the context of the contractual relationship for the provision of legal services between Finpartner and the client will be processed to comply with all requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as previously indicated, as well as all legal obligations arising from all applicable national and international laws, including E.O.A. In the context of providing legal services, we may process special categories of data (Article 9 GDPR), in which case one or more of the following legitimacy conditions under Article 9(2) apply: when processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, if the data subject is physically or legally incapable of giving consent; when processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, and; when processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest, such as the practice of law, based on EU or Member State law.
Personal data collected in the Finpartner application will be retained for a period of 10 years, but we will regularly send information for the exercise of the right to object or delete, except in the case of CVs, which will be retained for a period of 6 months. Data related to legal proceedings will be retained during the mandate and during the statutory limitation period thereafter.
- 8.Data Retention Period
FINPARTNER’s policy is to retain data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. However, in certain cases, it may be possible to retain data for longer periods, especially when required by law.
In cases where the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) authorizes the retention of customer personal data for longer periods than the duration of the service contract, considering the specific purpose of the processing in question, the customer will be promptly and properly informed of the purpose and retention period involved. After the expiration of the retention/storage period, as outlined above, customer personal data will be permanently deleted by FINPARTNER.

Finpartner may transmit User data to third parties when necessary for the exercise of its activities. Finpartner may also disclose the User’s personal data if this is required by law or if necessary to (i) comply with Finpartner’s legal obligations or (ii) protect the personal security of users.
Personal data will be kept in the territory of the European Union, in Portugal, although data may be transmitted to the other Member States, always subject to the User’s prior consent. Finpartner will take the necessary security measures to guarantee the confidentiality of personal data, ensuring that this transfer is made by the Personal Data Protection Act.
